Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Kennedy Jane Shorton (March 25, 2014 - March 30, 2014) Precious little Kennedy was born on Tuesday March 25, 2014 in Flagstaff to excited parents Todd and Meghan Shorten. Her arrival was anticipated by her brother Kohl and sister Allysa. We instantly fell in love with her chubby cheeks and dimpled chin. With her sweet face and spirit of a fighter she won over the hearts of not only her large family but also the hearts of the many medical staff that treated her both at Flagstaff Regional Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix. As her family we wish to express our sincere thanks to those who cared for her. We realize it is because of you that we were able to spend as much time with her as we did. We were blessed with 5 beautiful days with her. On Sunday March 30, 2014 Kennedy returned home to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father where she will watch over us until that glorious day when we meet again. Kennedy will be loved and remembered by Parents: Todd and Meghan Shorten, Siblings: Kohl and Allysa McCabe, Grandparents: Tom and Cindy Shorten, Bear Burke, and Liz Burke, Uncles and Aunts: Lee (Monique) Shorten, Lissa (Jon) Rucker, Molly (David) Motola, Ben Shorten, and Kevin Burke, a large extended family and the many others whose lives she touched. Services for Kennedy will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lake Mary Building located at 4165 Lake Mary Rd Flagstaff, AZ 86001. A viewing will be held at 9:00 AM with the chapel service following at 10:00 AM. Thanks to Norvel Owens Mortuary for helping with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Kennedy’s name to St. Joseph’s Hospital care of the Nursery Intensive Care Unit.
