ALFORD, Richard (Dick) Allen

Vistoso Funeral Home, Oro Valley, Arizona Richard "Dick" Alford May 5, 1935 - April 1, 2014 Richard (Dick) Allen Alford, of SaddleBrooke, AZ passed away on April 1, 2014 with his wife and sons at his side. He was born on May 5, 1935 in Minneapolis, MN to Charles and Thelma (Hedlund) Alford. Dick will always be known as an adventurous entrepreneur. He owned a wide variety of businesses in his lifetime and thrived on working hard and being successful. Dick enjoyed a less hectic pace in retirement over the last 7 years but continued to pursue new challenges and enjoyed his time with the SaddleBrooke Republican Club including being Club President. He and his wife Peg had a great life together traveling all over the world and working together in their business. He loved to cook and try new recipes and he and Peg continually disagreed as to who was the best cook. Dick is survived by his wife, Peg, of 36 years; his sons Scott, of Lighthouse Point, FL and Steve, of Houston, TX and his daughter Stacey Moore of Alpharetta, GA; and three grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 am, Friday April 18, 2014 at Vistoso Funeral Home, Oro Valley.
