Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, Prescott, Arizona Joyce Root January 1, 1927 ~ April 6, 2014 Joyce Root passed away on April 6th, 2014 at the age of 87. Born January 1, 1927 in Syracuse N.Y., she was proceeded in death by her husband Earl P. Root and her sons Gary and James. Joyce is survived by her daughter Cathleen (John) Jones, son Martin (Leslie) Root, five grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. The family will be holding private services at a later date.
