Alvarado, age 73, of Globe, AZ passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Mountain Vista Medical Center in Mesa, AZ Ramona is survived by her children JoAnn Olvera, George Alvarado, Angie Alvarado, Rubin Alvarado, Georgia Alvarado, Ronnie Alvarado, Cathy Fleming, Randy Alvarado and Susan Ramirez (John) all from Phoenix, AZ Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014/ from 1:00 – 4:00 P.M. at Lamont Mortuary Chapel in Globe, AZ. ~~~~~~~~~ Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona, Wednesday, April 23, 2014 Ramona Irma Alvarado, age 73, of Globe, Ariz. passed away on April 13, 2014. “Mona” is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Juanita Valenzuela; husband, George D. Alvarado; brother, Tony Valenzuela; sister Rosie Monsico; son, Joey Valenzuela and daughter, Roseann Carillo. She is survived by her sisters, Vera Ruiz and Leona Garcia; brother, Henry Valenzuela; her sons, George, Ruben, Ronnie and Randy; and daughters, Joann Olvera, Angie, Georgia, Cathy Fleming and Susan Ramirez. Mona had grandchildren and great-grandchildren, multiple nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many cousins. Mona’s kindness, generosity, and humor touched the lives of her friends, family, and even her doctors. She enjoyed living in her hometown of Globe. She loved visiting with her friends and family, going to the casinos and frequently visited her past loved ones at the cemetery. Her passion was to write in her notebooks, listen to music, sing a note or two, and make crafty art projects. Many of her friends knew her as “Mrs. Wonderful,” as the name suited her well. She will be deeply missed by all, but never forgotten. Viewing was held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Lamont Mortuary Globe, Ariz.
