Michel Charles Irwin, 58, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at his home with his wife by his side. Michel was born July 30, 1955, in Orleans, France, and spent eight years there and in Germany. His father transferred them to Yuma, where he grew up. Michel worked as a drywaller and carpenter for years, then moved to Kingman before finding his niche at Mohave Public Works as an engineering tech for 10 years.
Michel was an avid hunter, fisherman and boater. Many family and friends enjoyed going on trips with him and will cherish the time they had with him. He also had family in France that he visited through the years with: Gilles (Chantal), Jean-Mi (Jacqueline), Isabel (Patrick) and many others.
Michel is survived by his wife, Kimberly; son, Matthew; daughter, Amber (Eric); sister, Gisele (Jeff); nephew, Richard; and six grandkids. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Charles; mother, Luce Germaine; and cousin, Janine Boucrel.
Many thanks to best friends Mike Jura and Gary Contra, and Kim's friends, Robyn, Carla and Julie, for being there for both of us.
A celebration of Michel's life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at 3191 S. Atherton Dr. For more information, call 757-5847.
