Henry T. Bruner, 66, died in the early morning of April 10, 2014, at his home in Concho. He was born Sept. 29, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1966-70. Henry was a chef for over 25 years formally. Sgt. Henry T. Bruner was a Vietnam vet who earned several medals, badges, commendations, citations and campaign ribbons; including the Purple Heart. He was into judo, movies, woodworking, planting and cooking. He liked making boxes, in which he planted flowers, and helped get ready the vegetable garden in a proficient and industrious manner.
He liked to cook and his wife loves to eat. They were together exclusively for over 30 years. Though Henry and his wife did not have children, he was like a father to several children that he worked with.
Henry is the love, life and light to his wife. He was a very loving, thoughtful and kind husband, friend and lover. “Semper Fidelis, my love.”
He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine C. Bruner; brother George L. Bruner; and sisters Evelyn T. and Rose D.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and a brother.
Henry’s wishes were a cremation and no funeral. Keep him in your prayers, for his family always will.
