FOLZ, Arthur Albert (Al)

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Saturday, April 19, 2014 Mr. Arthur Albert "Al" Folz, 83, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at the Levine Dickson Hospice House in Charlotte, N.C. He was born in Saskatchewan, Canada, a son of the late Johann and Margarite Folz. He retired to Dewey, Ariz., after a long career as a general contractor in the Los Angeles, Calif., area. He recently moved to Fort Mill, S.C., to be near his children. Al is preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings, including his three brothers, Otto Folz, Egon Folz and Bud Folz; his twin sisters, Freda Moss and Sally Duplessis; and sisters Olga, Ida and Edith Folz. Survivors include his sons, Gordon Folz and wife Teresa of Fort Mill, S.C., Alan Folz and wife Mary Gene of Crown Pointe, Ind., and Ken Folz and wife Cheryl of Raleigh, N.C.; his daughter Marcia Conte and husband Rick of Greeville, S.C.; and his former wife of 34 years, Georgina Grace (Lloyd) Folz. He was blessed to have 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2014, at the Four Seasons Community Center where Al resided. The Rev. Jeff Bedwell officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the memorial service.
