Williams - Grand Canyon News, Williams, Arizona ~ 01/14/2014 Bill Barber passed away last weekend. Barber worked for Xanterra for more than 20 years and was a Maswik food and beverage cashier. Barber had been very involved in Special Olympics as both a participant and fundraiser. He worked with National Park Service law enforcement staff to help organize the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run in the park. Barber was a very active and involved member of the Grand Canyon community and will be truly missed. ~~~~~~~~~ Williams - Grand Canyon News, Williams, Arizona ~ 01/28/2014 A memorial service for Bill Barber is planned for Feb. 8 at 4 p.m. at the Shrine of the Ages. In memory of Barber, donations in the form of a check or money order may be made to: Special Olympics, 2100 S. 75th Ave. Phoenix, AZ, 85043. Also, Veronica Dawson at Maswik Cafeteria has Special Olympics torch pins and coins for sale by donation to benefit the Special Olympics in Barber's name. A $5 minimum donation is suggested.
