William Henry Avey, 86, was born in Rocky Hill, Ark. He resided in Arizona for 55 years. Mr. Avey passed away at home Monday, April 21, 2014, after a lengthy illness with Alzheimer's disease.
Mr. Avey taught school in Arkansas; Ray, Ariz.; and Holbrook, Ariz. He was a member of the Heights Church in Prescott, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Ray Avey; mother Maggie Alma Doshier; and brother Judson Avey.
He is survived by his wife, Lynda C. Avey of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; children James Ray Avey of Marysville, Wash., and Janet (Danny) Bolton of Brownwood, Texas; five grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
No funeral or memorial services; ashes to be spread at a later date.
