Karen Louise Heckel was born Oct. 29, 1939, to Harley and Erna Hall (Kuhlman) in Wahoo, Neb. She passed March 3, 2014 in Lake Havasu City.
Karen was a long-time resident of Lake Havasu City. She spent the last twenty years here enjoying her time with friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Gordon Heckel, who passed April 3, 1999. They were married in Los Angeles, Calif. She is also preceded in death by her parents.
Karen is survived by her sister, Mary Lee Inmon (Fletcher) of Sumrall, Miss., and niece, Laurie Myrick (Thomas) of Ellisville, Miss., as well as many other nieces and nephews.
Karen had a great passion and love for stuffed animals. She leaves behind her best furry friend “Heather Bear” as well as many other cherished furry friends. Her collection is vast and will be donated to Havasu Baptist Church in her name to benefit the children attending the Spring Festival.
A private interment will be held for Karen at Havasu Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
