ROUNDS, Evelyn M. (GiGi)

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, AZ., October 10, 2010 Rounds, Evelyn M. Memorial services will be on Oct. 14, at Shadow Rock Church of Christ, 12862 N. 8th Ave., at 11:00 a.m., in the church multi-purpose room. Evelyn was born in Luke, Maryland and worked a "Rosie the Riveter" during World War II. Following, Evelyn worked for Ohio Bell before transferring to Mountian Bell in Phoenix, where she retired after 30 years of service. She also dedicated 15 years as a volunteer at Phoenix Baptist Hospital. Evelyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband John I. Rounds. She leaves behind her three children, John W. (Marian) Rounds, Kay (Larry) Jerin and Jennifer Rounds; five grandchildren, Jason, Julie, Debi, Kellie and Dennis, and seven great-grandchildren who affectionately called her GiGi. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent The Civitan House, 5038 N. 17th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85013.
