Richard (Dick) A. Peterson, 85, passed away at his home in Lake Havasu
City, April 25, 2014. He was born Feb. 24, 1929, in Bellevue, Pa.
Dick served in the US Army as a medic from 1945-1948. He was the former
owner of Daylight Donut Shop in Olympia, Wash. Previous to owning the
donut shop, he was in the steel industry for 30 years, working as a
sales engineer and technical representative at Key-Houston Jacksonville
Florida shipyards, Florida Steel in Jacksonville and Vi-Con Welding in
Cleveland, Ohio.
Dick moved to Lake Havasu City seven years ago, coming from Ft. Mohave,
where he lived for five years and prior to Ft. Mohave, he lived in
Olympia, Wash., for 23 years. He married his wife Ione, June 5, 1997, in
Reno, Nev. Dick would have wanted everyone to remember the good times.
He will be deeply missed.
Dick is survived by his wife, Ione Peterson of Olympia, Wash.; daughter,
Linda McNamara of Lake Havasu City and his sister, Karen Ellison of
Columbus, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Peterson (mother of his
daughter) and his mother, Florence Stevens.
Dick requested that no services were to take place.
