TREZISE, Bob

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 05/06/2014 Bob Trezise, 58, died April 29, 2014, in Eagar. He was born Jan. 6, 1956, to Charles and Jean Trezise in Terre Haute, Ind. He was the youngest of five brothers. Searching for warmer weather in 1977, he moved from Indiana with his first wife, Abbie, to Tucson, where he pursued artistic endeavors in the areas of cuisine, wine, photography and philosophy. Bob became a father to Jessica in 1979. Bob was a multifaceted original. As a young man, his adventurous spirit led him through Mexico, experiencing and reflecting on life. An opportunity to manage the Bear Pond Inn in Greer brought Bob to the White Mountains. The peace and serenity he found in the mountains kept him here for over 20 years. He crossed paths with many. During some of this time, he was an entrepreneur, running Lone Wolf Enterprises. Bob enjoyed connecting with members of the community on a daily basis as he made his deliveries. He became a father for the second time when Mason was born to Bob and Suzanne in 1995. They were married, becoming a stepfather to Chris and Brittany. Robert Trezise’s middle name was Joseph, but his sense of humor successfully convinced the kids the “J.” stood for Jasper. In October 2013, Bob was proud to become “Gramps” to Abraham. Bob’s love of horsemanship continued over decades with riding and horse training; always the cowboy. He was an outdoorsman and animal lover. His interests were wide-ranging, spending hours woodworking, whittling, writing, reading and playfully flying kites. "There never was and never will be another like our dad, Bob Trezise." He is survived by his son, Mason Trezise of Eagar; daughter Jessica Trezise of Tucson; stepson Christopher Sims; stepdaughter Brittany Sims Finch of Eagar; mother Jean Trezise; brothers: Charles Trezise Jr., Jim Trezise, David Trezise, Bruce Trezise; and grandson Abraham Dickson of Tucson. He was preceded in death by Charles Trezise and Suzanne Trezise. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 23, at the First Southern Baptist Church in Springerville. A benefit and remembrance dinner will be hosted by the VFW Post 8987 and sponsored by Janis Ruetz in Eagar Saturday, May 10, at 2 p.m.
