Leon David (Sonny) Wagner, 89, passed away May 5, 2014 in Lake Havasu 
City surrounded by his family. He was born Aug. 1, 1924 in Baltimore to 
Leon and Ellen Wagner Sr.

Sonny, as he was known to his family and friends served in the U.S. Army 
and was honorably discharged. He married Helen Wagner Feb. 10, 1946. 
Together they moved to Lake Havasu 25 years ago.

He was a member of the VFW, Lake Havasu Yacht Club, Elks Club and 
various other organizations. He was a loving husband, father, 
grandfather and great-grandfather who will be missed by all.

Sonny is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Helen Mae Wagner of 
Lake Havasu City; daughter, Gerry Burchill; son, Davvd (Kathi) Wagner; 
four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ellen West; sister, Mary Ellen 
and grandson, Robby Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of 
Havasu/Polidori House.
