Johnnie Cleveland Crow passed away after a brief illness on May 1, 2014,
surrounded every moment by loving family and friends.
Known for his wonderful smile and warm personality, he was a friend to
everyone he met. He was loved deeply by his family and friends and we
will all miss him constantly. He will be remembered for the way he
always wanted to entertain and barbecue for family and friends.
John was born in Dinuba, Calif., to Roy "Odis" Crow and Bernice
(Culberson) Crow on July 22, 1951. In 1952, the family moved to Santa
Maria, Calif., where he attended Santa Maria schools, graduating form
Righetti High School in 1968.
Johnnie started working for Scolari's Markets at the age of 13 as a
clean-up boy in the meat shop. He eventually worked himself up to meat
manager. He moved to Reno, Nev., with the company in 1985. John changed
careers in 2001, moving to Kingman to become owner and operation of
Andy's Cleaners. He retired in 2013 because of health issues.
John married Victoria Jones on Jan. 31, 1970. They were blessed with two
sons, Johnny Odis Crow and Chad Crow. They were divorced in 1979, but
remained good friends. Johnnie married Cindy Coker in 1984. He shared
the past 11 years with his best friend/girlfriend, Sharon Nott.
John is survived by his sons, Johnny (Natalie) and Chad (Mary); six
grandchildren, Chad, Max, Audrey, Luke, Ben, and Cheyenne; his brother,
Gary Crow, (Linda); his sister, Betty Frick (Dave); his girlfriend,
Sharon Nott; nieces, Kristie Wells, Cindy Chenoweth and Heather
Goldsmith; and nephew, Gary Crow.
He was preceded in death by his father, Odis Crow, in 1967 and his
mother, Bernice in 2011.
A memorial will be held at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, at Andy's
Cleaners, 2601 Stockton Hill Road, Suite A. All are welcome.
