Muriel June Jiacalone, 89, of Prescott, Ariz., departed this life Thursday, May 7, 2014.
She was born Monday, Jan. 12, 1925, in Beliot, Wis. to Dale and Elsie Graves.
Muriel proudly served in the United Stated Army as a medical and surgical technician and diver during WWII.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Samuel M. Jiacalone.
She is survived by five children and their spouses, sons John Jiacalone of Prescott, Peter Jiacalone of Alaska, and Paul Jiacalone of New Mexico; daughters Linda Harris of Virginia and Pat Riley of Prescott; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
There will be a private family service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Muriel's name to the Humane Society.
