The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 05/16/2014 Neona “Sue” Rose, 71, died April 19, 2014, at her home in Taylor. Sue was the second of six children born to Raleigh and Nila Saul. She was a graduate of the Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind in Tucson. She spent her school years in Tucson, where she made lifelong friends, returning home for Christmas holiday and summer break. Sue married Robert C. Rose in 1962. They had thee children together, Judy Rodriguez, Debi Rose and Eddie Rose. She was a homemaker who loved to bake, sew and square dance. She also loved gardening. She moved to Kentucky in 1995, but returned home to her beloved Arizona after the passing of her husband in 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Rose, parents Raleigh and Nila Saul; sister Karla Jamison; brothers Darwin and George Saul; and her grandson Bobby Rose. She is survived by her sister, Thea (Leonard) Hudson; brother John Saul; children: Judy Rodriguez, Debi Rose and Eddie Rose; four grandchildren: Hollian (Brandon) Rickman, Riley (Mary) Rose, Brandy Rose, Sharra Rose; and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at the OLS Community Center in Taylor. Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor handled arrangements.
