Services will be 11 a.m. May 19, 2014, at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez St., Prescott. Arrangements by Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Sunday, May 18, 2014 Suzanne (Sue) Marchessault of Prescott, Ariz., went to heaven on Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Her passing was peaceful with her husband and caregiver at her side. Sue was born June 18, 1926, in Chicago, Ill. After high school in 1944, she was employed as a stenographer/typist for a noted design firm. In 1962 she relocated to Prescott, where her children were raised. She volunteered at the old Y.E.I. Thrift Store, St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store and Yavapai Humane Society, and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Sue is survived by her husband of 39 years, George Marchessault; son Gary (Jeanie) Smith; daughter Susan (Ric) Surber; stepdaughter Kathleen Flynn; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 19, 2014, at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez St., Prescott. A private service will take place at the Prescott National Cemetery in Prescott. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sue's name to Yavapai Humane Society, 1625 Sundog Ranch Road, Prescott, AZ 86301 or Sacred Heart Catholic Church, c/o Sacred Heart Pre-School, 150 Fleury St., Prescott, AZ 86301.
