The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, April 04, 2009 Veronica J. Effert, 72, passed away on March 26, 2009. She was born on Dec. 15, 1936, in Menasha, Wis. She is survived by her husband, Harold; their five children, Amy (Larry) Beckner of Scottsdale, Ariz., Peter (Mardi) Effert of Mesa, Ariz., Paula (William) McCormick of Sterling, Kan., Nicholas Effert of Rancho Santa Marguerita, Calif., and Joseph (Katie) Effert of Louisville, Ky.; three grandchildren; five sisters; one brother; one half-brother; and a large extended family. It was her heart's desire that all have a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. A memorial celebration will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2009, at Harvest Bible Chapel Ministry Center, 7515 E. Long Look Drive in Prescott Valley, Ariz. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Community Pregnancy Center, 723 E. Gurley St., Prescott, Ariz., 86301. Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family.
