Londa Jean Kemp, age 79, passed away May 13, 2014 in Sun City West.
Londa was born Jan. 19, 1935 in Clebit, Okla. to Arthur and Stella Kemp.
She was raised there and Broken Bow, Okla. and later married Melvin
Scarbrough. They lived briefly in Corpus Christi, Texas and later moved
to Scottsdale, where she graduated from Arizona State University with a
degree in education. She began her teaching career in Holbrook and soon
thereafter moved to Lake Havasu City, where both she and Melvin taught.
Londa pursued her master’s degree and began working in school
administration in Wickenburg and Dolan Springs. She retired while
teaching in Kingman, and moved to South Carolina, eventually returning
to Arizona settling in Mesa in 2007.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Altus, Buddy, Kelsie, Bub and
Wanda Kemp. Londa is survived by her children, Randy (Renee) Scarbrough
of Tennessee, Tammy (Mark) Finkbeiner of South Carolina and Nolan (Jean)
Scarbrough of Wickenburg; grandchildren, Cory, Travis, Rachael, Avery,
Ian, Shelby and Payton and great-grandchildren, Talan, Brenner, Addison,
Rylee, Brinley and Keaton.

Londa Jean Kemp, age 79, passed away May 13, 2014 in Sun City West, Arizona. Londa was born January 19, 1935 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. She was raised there and later married Melvin Scarborough. They lived briefly in Corpus Cristi, Texas and later moved to Arizona where she graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in education.
She began her teaching career in Holbrook, Az and soon thereafter moved to Lake Havasu City where both she and Melvin taught. Londa later pursued a Master’ degree and began working in school administration in Wickenburg and Dolan Springs, Az. She retired in Kingman and moved to South Carolina eventually returning to Arizona settling in Mesa in 2007.
