The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 05/20/2014 Roxie Virginia Webb, 98, went to be with the Lord April 22, 2014. She was born Oct. 8, 1915, in Huntington, W.Va., to Frank and Ellen Baumgardner. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Webb, sister Pearl Vignolo and brothers Harry, Russell, Frank and Benjamin Baumgardner. Roxie is survived by two daughters, Cecelia Hughes of Show Low and Linda Coelho of Dixon, Calif.; and one sister, Delma Chapin of Elko, Nev. She leaves behind five grandchildren: David Hughes, presently of Pretoria, South Africa, Michelle Hughes of Phoenix, Gregory Hughes of Show Low, Katrina Spradling of Dixon, Calif., and John Coelho of Redondo Beach, Calif. Roxie was blessed with five great-grandchildren: Starla and Skylar Hughes of Farmington, N.M., Brooke and Carson Spradling of Dixon, Calif., and Ashley Coelho of San Diego, Calif. Roxie’s favorite pastime was walking, an activity she continued to enjoy into her 98th year. She often commented that you couldn’t worry when you were walking, especially when the roses were in bloom. Roxie will be remembered for her faith, love and generosity. A private family celebration of Roxie’s life was held April 24 at Burns Memorial Garden in Elko, Nev.
