Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Roni Bain (July 25, 1930 - May 18, 2014) Ramola Ruth “Roni” Bain went to be with her beloved Lord Jesus on May 18, 2014. She was born on a farm in Fall Creek, Wisconsin on July 25th, 1930 to Lawrence and Elsie Hempelman. She moved to Phoenix with her parents and brothers in 1942. She attended Phoenix Union High School where she met her lifelong love and then future husband Doyle Bain. Roni attended Good Samaritan School of Nursing where she was recognized as a distinguished scholar. She married Doyle Bain on September 2, 1950. Roni was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family and her love for Jesus were her primary interests all of her life. She was a Sunday School teacher at First Southern Baptist Church, Flagstaff and an active member for many years at Greenlaw Baptist Church, Flagstaff. Roni was a 20 year “Mrs. Albee” award winning salesperson for Avon. She was known throughout Flagstaff as “The Avon Lady.” Roni is survived by her husband of 63 years, Doyle, her three children, Doyle Bain Jr. (Janice) of Glendale, Arizona, Loretta Bain Sherman of Flagstaff, Arizona and Evelyn Bain of Amarillo, Texas and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services for Roni will be held, Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at noon, at Norvel Owens Mortuary Chapel, 914 E. Route 66,Flagstaff, Arizona. Interment will follow at Citizens’ Cemetery, Flagstaff.
