Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Friday, May 23, 2014 - Early morning, May 21, 2014 Harry Hiebert peacefully entered the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He passed away at home with family members by his side. Harry was born April 6, 1930 in Linden, Alberta, the son of Cornelius and Elisabeth Hiebert. He came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ at a middle school Bible camp. Harry graduated from high school in Winnipeg, Manitoba and attended college at Prairie Bible Institute, Three Hills, Alberta. It was there he met the love of his life, Mary Benson, and they were married in Hannaford, N.D. in 1954. After Bible school, Harry worked in Christian radio in Seattle and Missoula, Mont. His family was raised in Great Falls, Mont. where Harry did electrical work and ran a print shop for many years. They moved to Monrovia, Calif. in 1979. In 1993, Harry and Mary retired and moved to Lake Havasu City. They joined Bethany Bible Church where Harry served on the church board and taught adult Sunday school classes. Harry and Mary helped start several churches in Montana and California. Harry enjoyed music; one of his favorite hymns reflects his life’s testimony: "Jesus paid it all, all to him I owe, sin had left a crimson stain, he washed it white as snow." Harry is survived by his wife, Mary; daughter, Pamela (Tom) Bozeman; sons, Randy (Kathy), Jim (Sheryl) and Gregg (Marina); and grandchildren Victor, Jared, Sam, Lauren, Wesley, Michelle, Justine, Kyle, Ryan, Joel and Nathan.
