Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Sunday, May 25, 2014 - Saturday, May 17, 2014 our courageous Mom, Norma Heurung’s spirit left this world to join our Dad in heaven. Norma was born in Portland, Ore. to Delmer and Anne Seal June 27, 1941 and was raised in St. Helens, Ore. Mom was a 63-year Polio survivor, having her first spinal tumor removed at the age of 20 leaving her alter-abled for the rest of her life. Norma met her husband David Heurung on a blind date set up by her best friend Melba Tice Olsen; they were married for 43 years. David and Norma retired together to Lake Havasu City in 2001 sharing five happy years together until David passed in September of 2006. Mom was told she should never have children, so she had two, Signi Tremblay and Jill Heurung. She lost a leg last year to rare form of adolescent cancer. She received wonderful care from the LHC Wound Clinic, LHC Cancer Center and in home nursing care. Norma leaves behind two brothers, William and Deane Seal; son-in-law, Mark Tremblay and four grandchildren, Whitney, Patrick, David, and Jake. Per Norma’s wishes there will be no funeral.
