Jack Reynold Lord, 66 years, 1 month, 14 days old, of Prescott, Ariz. (Ponderosa Park), passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at the Prescott Veterans Hospital.
Jack was born April 7, 1948, in Oakland, Calif., to Ralph Gordon and Leota Maxine (Reynolds) Lord. Jack graduated from Carpinteria, Calif., High School, then went on to college at Santa Barbara City College, where he graduated. He also attended University of California in Santa Barbara. In February 1967 he entered into the Navy until 1968, where he received the National Defense Service Medal.
Jack worked in real estate until settling in a career in interior landscaping. He then retired and moved to Arizona in 1997, meeting his future wife Renelda. They were married April 28, 2002.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Renelda (Nellie); stepson Leonard (Carrie) Steffen of Napavine, Wash.; sister Ramona (Daulton) Dulaney of Mesa, Ariz.; sister-in-law Carmen Ford of Ash Fork, Ariz.; brother-in-law Arnold (Miriam) Gennrich of Stewart, Minn.; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday May 27, 2014, at Hope Lutheran Church, Chino Valley, Ariz. Burial will be in South Dakota at a later date.
The family suggests memorials be made to Hope Lutheran Building Fund or Wounded Warriors Project.
