Truman Solis, born May 7, 1922, in Wichita, Texas, passed away May 26, 2014, in Dewey, Ariz.
He is survived by a daughter; two stepchildren; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Truman was a veteran of World War II, where he was with the Corps of Engineers in Burma. He owned his own plumbing company in Altadena, Calif., when he retired in 1988 and moved to Dewey.
Truman also enjoyed taking church young people on pack trips in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, watching baseball, and raising orchids, vegetables and prize-winning flowers.
He also was a member of the Prescott Valley Church of the Nazarene.
Donations to the Salvation Army in Truman's name in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014, at the Prescott Valley Church of the Nazarene, 3741 N. Constance Drive, Prescott Valley, Ariz.
