RYERSE, Essie Loraine

Vistoso Funeral Home, Oro Valley, Arizona Essie L Ryerse October 7, 1920 - May 25, 2014 Essie Loraine Ryerse,passed away May 25th at 93 years old. She was born and raised in Eastern Texas and Northwestern Louisiana. Loraine married William H. Ryerse, an air force officer and B-47 pilot, in 1943. They were stationed in China and Germany before coming to DMAFB in Tucson in 1954 where they lived for the rest of their lives. Loraine was an accomplished seamstress, quilter, cook, and collector of exquisite antiques. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Culler, and son-in-law, John Culler; son, William Rye; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family is honoring Loraine’s wish for no memorial service, but the memory of “Grandmother” will always remain dear to us.
