Vistoso Funeral Home, Oro Valley, Arizona Paul Rufus Gates January 17, 1937 - May 15, 2014 Paul R. Gates, 77, of Mammoth passed away May 15, 2014. He was born January 17, 1937 in Anson, Texas. He worked for the San Manuel–Mammoth School District for 10 years and also for Magma Copper for 25 years. Paul is preceded in death by his son, Charles; and great-grandchild Lauralyn; four brothers and two sister. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Hilda; children: Robert (Linda) Gates, Leslie, Paul Jr. ; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; three sisters and one brother. A graveside service will be held in Globe at a later date.
