The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 06/06/2014 Carol Lynn (Connell) Kowalski, 58, of Show Low died May 25, 2014, in Globe. She was born Sept. 13, 1955, in Memphis. Carol was a medical caregiver and a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, shopping and spending time outside. She loved talking, was very outgoing and was a loving, caring, giving person. Survivors include her husband, Duane Luper; two sons: Shawn E. Midkiff of Sandusky, Ohio, and Nathaniel R. Kowalski of Kingman; daughter Kelly Jo Leivas of Casa Grande; three sisters: Brenda K. Grant of Sandusky, Sheila A. Burns of Vermillion, Ohio, and Paula L. Wicker of Huron, Ohio; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy N. Connell and Frances C. Tutor, and grandson Shaun A. Leivas. A celebration of life will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, June 6, at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole and Maud The Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande. A service will be held later in Show Low.
