Funeral services for Betty June Bailey, 82, were 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014, at the Waynoka Church of God. Interment will be in the Waynoka Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka, LLC.
Betty Bailey, daughter of the late John Manley and Clara Marie (Lee) Calhoun, was born Feb. 14, 1932, in Birmingham, Iowa, and passed away June 2, 2014, at Waynoka, Okla.
On Dec. 9, 1950, she was united in marriage to Richard Samuel Bailey at Fairfield, Iowa. They lived in Prescott, Ariz., before moving to Waynoka in 1994.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; one brother, John Manley Calhoun; and three sisters, Mildred Fitzwater, May Lee Sewart and Ellen Louise Calhoun.
Betty is survived by three daughters, Linda Sue Grimes of Pella, Iowa, Maryann Gilmore of Prescott Valley, Ariz., and Betty Elaine Mayes of Waynoka; four grandchildren; two brothers, Tom Calhoun of Fairfield and Don Calhoun of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; and other relatives and friends.
