Hernandez, 84, born June 5, 1930, in Silver City, N.M., went home to be with the Lord on June 13, 2014. She is survived by her four children, Connie Kelchner, Patsy Joe Huff, Norma Kendall and Randy Hernandez. She was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Rita is preceded in death by her husband, Pete L. Hernandez. They came to Prescott in 1950, where Pete worked at the VA Hospital for 33 years. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Prescott Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Marley House and Hospice. Information provided by survivors.
