Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Wednesday, June 11, 2014 - Lea Melanie (Gaudart) Bevan, 84, passed away June 6, 2014 in Lake Havasu City following a valiant effort against emphysema. She was born July 6, 1929 in Falher, Alberta Canada to Joseph Vincent and Theresa (Bahuon) Gaudart. Lea was a 20-year resident of Lake Havasu City. As a young woman this strong-willed, independent lady moved to Oakland, Calif., working seven years for Kaiser Steel and then on to Los Angeles for a 27-year career at Leroy Crandall and Associates, a subsidiary of Law Engineering, pre- eminent soil and foundation geologists. Lea and her late husband, Bob, were active members in the Eagles, ELKS and the American Legion Lodges as well as enthusiastic RV-ers. They loved the fellowship within these groups. Mourning her passing are many relatives and close friends in both Canada and the United States. A celebration of life for immediate family and close friends will be at a future date. Burial was at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens. Contributions can be made in Lea's name to Hospice of Havasu.
