John Francis “Jack” Hagarty passed away in Lake Havasu City, June 4,
2014 at the age of 87. He was born Aug. 14, 1926 in Philadelphia to
Edward and Mary (Magee) Hagarty.
Jack was a proud veteran of World War II serving in the Army as a member
of the military police from 1945 to 1948. He was a master plumber and a
plumbing contractor, moving to Lake Havasu City in 1974 with his wife
and 11 children. He and Rosemarie retired to St. Petersburg, Fla. and
Jack returned to Havasu years later to be closer to his family. He was a
member of the Catholic church, American Legion, V.F.W., Eagles and
Marine Corps League.
He is survived by his loving family; sons, John Hagarty of Phoenix,
Matthew Hagarty of Lake Havasu City, Mark Hagarty of Lake Havasu City,
Luke Hagarty (Samantha) of Phoenix, and Paul Hagarty of Gilbert;
daughters, Beverly Kettering (Mark) of Peoria, Barbara Wasielewski (Pat)
of Lake Havasu City, Mary Joralmon of Thousand Oaks, Calif., Monica Hall
(John) of Lake Havasu City, Nancy Hagarty (Chris Tighe) of Careywood,
Idaho, and Joy Ocetnik (Mike) of Stafford, Va.; brothers, James Hagarty
and Robert Hagarty; 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life is set for Saturday, June 21, at the Eagles Aerie
#4299, 1561 Marlboro Dr. at 4 p.m. Military honors will be performed.
