Prescott Evening Courier, Prescott, Arizona Territory Monday, November 23, 1903, page 3 The funeral of the late James Maxwell took place from the family residence at 2 p.m. yesterday. The funeral procession was one of the largest in the history of the town, bearing mute testimony to the great esteem in which the deceased was held by those who had known him for so many years. At the grave the funeral rites of the Woodmen of the World and of the Grand Army of the Republic were had. The firing squad of nine riflemen and a bugler came from Whipple.
