On May 5, 2014, Lillian W. Cooley joined her family in heaven, just nine days short of being 100.
She is survived by her children Trudy (Bill) Root of Wickenburg, Dennis (Bonnie) Wincentsen and Ona (Jim) Tang of Phoenix; six grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Mom was a long-time resident of Morristown until she moved to Phoenix in 1954.
Mom was a very positive inspiration to all she touched. She survived many personal and our own country’s hardships … but more so, she celebrated all the victories.
Mom was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Daughters of the American Revolution/Phoenix chapter, and Colonial Dames.
She always had a positive outlook on life that she passed on to all of her four generations of family.
A private family service was held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, and following the memorial service a celebration of her life was held at her grandson’s home.
God Bless GG. She was the salt of the earth and loved her family dearly.
