93, died 6/14/14 at his summer home in Pinetop AZ.
He is survived by his wife, Alice; son, Mike (Chris); daughters Nancy Biddle (Omer), Eileen Pies; brother, Nels “Bud” (Helen); granddaughters Cherie Naumann (John), Wendy Davis (Jim), Kate Schneider and grandsons Mark Porcella, Nick Biddle, Wyeth Lillard plus nine great grandchildren.
Bob grew up in the great outdoors of Maine with his three brothers. He was the first one to say he had a great life: 23 yrs in the Air Force, piloted 31 B-17 WWII missions, (flew D-Day), lived 3 yrs in the Panama Canal Zone (where his son was born), also lived in India (meeting Ike, Nehru & Dean Rusk), Korea, Delaware & Utah Bob & Alice (married 37 yrs) settled in Mesa AZ and sold real estate together for 20 yrs.
Bob was in the top ten salesmen (out of 17,000) for Merrill Lynch Realty.
He & Alice traveled the US in their motor homes and played golf in all 50 states. Bob was a hero to his family and lived each day with joy. He completed crossword puzzles & played golf up until a few months ago, providing golf instruction to anyone who would listen.
Grandpa, we will continue to toast you at cocktail hour with rum & coke and nachos! You will be missed.
