Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Brian John Jones (January 18, 1962 - June 17, 2014) Brian Jones, 52, of Flagstaff passed away June 17, 2014. He was born January 18, 1962 in Gallup, New Mexico. Service will be Monday, June 23, 2014 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. Visitation will be From 12:30 to 1:30 Funeral will be at 2:00pm with interment to follow at Citizens Cemetery. ~~~~~~~~~~ Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona, Sunday, June 22, 2014 Brian Jones, 52, of Flagstaff, Arizona passed away on June 17, 2014 from complications after an extensive open heart surgery. Brian was born to the late Joe and Carolyn Jones on January 18, 1962 and grew up in Chambers, Arizona where he made lifelong friends and where his love of animals and the outdoors began. He graduated from Valley High School in Sanders, AZ in 1980. Brian moved to Flagstaff to attend NAU and worked for Coca Cola where he met and married the love of his life, Penny O’Clair. Brian was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. In addition to his family, Brian loved animals, working in the yard, and being outdoors. He was employed with SCA tissue in Bellemont, AZ at the time of his death. Brian had a quick wit, a cheerful attitude, a willingness to lend a helping hand, and a smile wherever he went. Brian is survived by his wife of 26 years, Penny; daughter, Traci (Tyler) of Colorado; and son Jared; grandson, Jericho John Jerome; siblings, Linda Jones of Chambers, AZ; Deborah Kriegh of Oregon; Pamela (Doug) Barnett of California; Bruce (Andrea) Jones of Oregon; father and mother in-law Marvin and Doris O’Clair of Prescott Valley; Brother and sister-in-laws Jeff O’Clair of Flagstaff; Judy (John) Chamberlain of Peoria; Jackie O’Clair; Jay (Jill) O’Clair, and Jesse O’Clair all of Flagstaff. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Services will be held at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church , Monday, June 23, 2014. Visitation will be held at 12:30 p.m. with the service at 2 p.m. and the burial immediately following. Norvel Owens Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
