Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Mary Ellen Schramm (August 29, 1967 - June 25, 2014) Mary Ellen Schramm, 46, of Flagstaff, AZ, died Thursday, June 19, 2014 at her home after a year of battling cancer. She was born August 29, 1967 in Queens, NY to Marion and Jack Schramm. She grew up in Nashua, NH with her two brothers, Michael and Thom. After graduating from Nashua High School and the University of Southern Maine, she moved to Arizona. While working at the Grand Canyon, she met Stephen Wayne. They married in 2003 and settled in Flagstaff. Mary Ellen earned her teaching certificate at Northern Arizona University and taught for two years in Kayenta. She has been part of the Killip Elementary School family for the past seven years as an aide. She is survived by her two sons, Augustus, 8, and Owen, 6, and her loving husband, Stephen, as well as her brothers and parents. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 25 at Norvel Owens Funeral Home in Flagstaff.
