Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor, Arizona Christine Burnette (October 8, 1947 - June 20, 2014) Christine Burnette, Went to be Home with the Lord, June 20 2014, after a long battle of illness. Christine grew up in Canyon Day, Arizona and attended Alchesay High School (Class of 1963). After High School, Christine attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona; there she earned her Bachelor Degree. Christine then worked with the office of Higher Education in the Vocational Department with the White Mountain Apache Tribe for many years. Christine loved to read, watch NBA and NFL games on television, listen to Apache songs, complete crossword puzzles and call/text her brothers and sisters. Christine was a devote Catholic and prayed her Rosary daily. She remained steadfast in her faith, even to the end. Christine Burnette is the daughter to the late Willie & Pauline (Josay) Burnette. She is Survived by her siblings: Eubank (Loretta) Burnette, Margie (Joyner) Burnette, Bernadette Burnette, Wayland (Bernadette) Burnette, Linda (James) Truax, Ronald (Cheyanne) Burnette, Keith (Vermilda) Burnette and Albert (Stephanie ) Burnette. The Aunts of Christine Burnette are Freda Josay Ethelbah and Grace Trujillo (of Tucson). Christine is also loved and missed by 19 Nieces & Nephews and 18 Grandchildren. The Wake for Christine Burnette will be held Thursday, June 26 2014 at 10:00 am N. Bear Canyon Road, Canyon Day, Arizona. The Funeral Service will be Friday, June 27 2014 at 8:00 am at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Whiteriver, Arizona. Funeral arrangements are handled by Silver Creek Mortuary.
