DEATH OF PIONEER WOMAN— Mrs. Harriet Davis, one of the pioneer women of the Salt river valley, died yesterday afternoon at her home on East Lincoln street, at the age of 71. Mrs. Davis came to the valley thirty years ago with her husband, who died about ten years later. Besides a large circle of friends she leaves behind four sons and three daughters. Her daughters are Mrs. R. J. Holmes, Mrs. Henry Burris and Mrs. Claude Sanderson; her sons Wayne, William, Robert and Charles Davis. All live in the valley except Mrs. Sanderson, whose home is at Buckeye. No funeral arrangements have yet been made.
