Donna Mae Ferch Thompson passed away peacefully June 23, 2014, at the
TLC Care Center in Henderson, Nev. Donna was born April 11, 1926, in
Charles City, Iowa, but moved to Arizona in 1981. She spent the last
five years in the TLC Care Center.
Donna is survived by her three daughters, Terri Thompson of New York,
Judy French of Kingman and Stacy Bowers of Las Vegas; five
grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
While Donna lived in Charles City, she worked as a receptionist for a
dentist. She worked for a while at Our Market in Dolan Springs and
finished her working career at the Dollar Saver in Kingman.
Donna was an active member of the Valle Vista Community Church. She
especially enjoyed preparing for the women's luncheons and assisting
with the children's' Bible class.
Donna was an avid animal lover and wrote an article for the church
newsletter entitled "Tall-Tails." Donna was a creative writer as well as
an amazing artist. Donna touched many lives over the years and will be
sorely missed, but her family takes comfort in the knowledge that she is
finally at peace and is with her heavenly Father.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, at the Valle
Vista Community Church.
