Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Sunday, June 29, 2014 - Colette "Kellie" Rita Illengo, 69, passed away June 20, 2014 in Lake Havasu City. She was born Aug. 12, 1944 in Chicago to James and Cecile (Shallow) Garrity. Kellie, as she was known to her family and friends, passed peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends. She moved to Lake Havasu City 19 years ago, coming from Southern California where she resided for more than 35 years. After retiring from the office supply industry, Kellie was a volunteer with a hospice organization for three years. She was an active member of Our Lady Of the Lake Catholic Church. She will be deeply missed and always loved. Kellie is survived by her soulmate of 31 years, Frank Freeman; son, Walter Illengo of Ventura, Calif.; daughter, Kristie Davis of Flagstaff; stepson, Steve (Kelly) Freeman of Fort Mohave; grandchildren, Tyler Jones and Erin Davis of Flagstaff, Corey and Nicki Freeman of Fort Mohave, Loren Illengo of Laughlin, Nev. and niece, Debbie Thomas of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Cecilia Garrity. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Father Mike Ashibuogwa officiating.
