The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 07/01/2014 Olive Edmee Stahl, 97, resident of Overgaarddied peacefully June 25, 2014 surrounded by her family in Lakeside. She was born Feb. 25, 1917, the baby of the family, to the late George J. and Ida (Bercot) Poirier in Bay City, Mich. Olive raised her sons in Yorba Linda, Calif. on a citrus farm. She lived in Somerton and Yuma for 45 years where the family continued to farm citrus. In 2005 she moved to Overgaard, Arizona with her son David. During her lifetime she was a book reviewer and volunteer for the Yorba Linda Library and worked for several years for the Sunkist Citrus Exchange in Yuma. She was an avid quilter and made quilts for all the family members. She was preceded in death by her husbands, David E. Crist and Melvin Stahl; son Gary C. Crist; brother Laurence Poirier and two sisters, May Allec and Lorena Robbins. She is survived by her son, David G. Crist (Rosalyn Joy); daughter-in-law Wilma Crist; four grandchildren: Randall D. Crist (Donna), Scott M. Crist (Pamela), Gary Lee Crist (Shannon), Lorri Raney (Alan); 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. A private family memorial will be held at the gravesite in Yuma. Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel of Show Low handled arrangements.
