LEMMER, Dolores

Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona, Wednesday, July 02, 2014 Dolores Lemmer, 84, of Globe, Ariz. passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Copper Mountain Inn, surrounded by family. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on April 20, 1930. She graduated from Good Samaritan College of Nursing in Dayton, Ohio, in 1951. She received her degree in anesthesiology from Mounty Marty College, Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, South Dakota in 1953. She and her husband, John, moved to Globe in 1956. She worked at the Inspiration Mine Hospital and Gila General Hospital for many years. She was very talented and had many interests. She loved gardening, crocheting and sewing, as well as baking and decorating wedding cakes. She was the beloved mother of daughters, Patty Fulghum, Barbara Shelor (Rick), Cathy Lemmer, and Mary Bernstein (Jim); her son, John (Diane); cherished grandmother of Don, David, Christopher, Nickolas, Claire and her three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Jerry Swigart (Pinky); aunt, Liliana Gastiger; brother-in-law, Karl Lemmer and sister-in-law, Frances Swigart. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; brother, Bob; and granddaughter, DaVonna. The family would also like to thank the staff of Copper Mountain Inn for their wonderful care. Visitation was held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Monday, June 30, 2014 at Bulman Miles Funeral Services Chapel in Globe. Clergy: Ben Smith Graveside service was held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 30, 2014 at Mt. Breeze Memorial Gardens. Interment at Mt. Breeze Memorial Gardens, Miami.
