Weekly Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, June 4, 1913, page 5 Pioneer Woman Is Claimed By Death Mrs. Mary B. Weston Is Victim of Tubercular Affliction (From Tuesday's Daily) Another estimable pioneer woman of Arizona in Mrs. Mary b. Weston, has passed to the unknown, her death near Granite mountain last Saturday evening from tubercular affliction. The deceased was the wife of John Weston, and she had been a resident of this county for the greater portion of her life, coming from Nevada when a mere child, where she was born, over thirty years ago. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Willis, formerly of McCabe, her father passed away many years ago, but her mother survives at Madison, Colorado. Mrs. Weston was a young woman who was very much endeared to many. Of genial disposition and with a personality that made her a host of friends, her death is mourned where ever she was known. She was laid away yesterday afternoon in the Citizens cemetery, and there was an unusually large attendance from the outside country and from the city. Rev. Long officiated and Lester Ruffner conducted the funeral. Transcriber's note: Mrs. Weston is buried in an unmarked grave.
