ACTON, Viola Fay

Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Thursday, July 3, 2014 - Viola Fay Acton, 92, passed away in Lake Havasu City, June 25, 2014. Fay was born in Fullerton, Calif., Feb. 22, 1922, to the late Floyd and Doloris McGaughy. Fay and her husband, Hayes, moved to Lake Havasu City in the late 1970s. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Monday night ladies bowling league and the Friday morning shoppers bowling league. She also attended Bethany Bible Church. She was an avid Angel’s baseball fan. Fay was a vivacious, friendly person, full of joy and laughter. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and dearly loved all her family and friends. Fay is survived by her son, James Acton of Lake Havasu City and daughter, Nancy Beougher of Whitefish, Mont. She is also survived by her brother Samuel McGaughy of Scofield, Utah, and her sister, Floydena May Patrick of Lake Havasu City. Fay also leaves behind five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Hayes Acton, in 1994 as well as her sister, Ethel Elizabeth Bland of Fullerton, Calif. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Bethany Bible Church in Lake Havasu City. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
