Surrounded by family and friends, both in person and in spirit, Sheldon
"Shelly" Kay Golding joined her husband for martinis on Monday, June 23,
2014. Shelly was born in Los Angeles on Nov. 7, 1931. She was 82 years
old.
Shelly was an adventurer. From climbing the Mayan ruins in Mexico,
taking cruises to Europe and China, piloting a caravan through Mexico,
and riding the zip line over Fremont Street at the age of 81, Shelly
lived life to the fullest. She will be forever remembered for her
boiling hot coffee, amazing tacos and her beautiful smile. She will be
greatly missed by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Shelly is survived by her children, Stephen (Melva) Golding, Michael
(Patti) Golding, Carol Smith, and Christina (Warren) Watson; eight
grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; extended family members; and
the numerous friends whom she considered family.
A celebration of Shelly's life will be held at her home in Kingman at 4
p.m. Tuesday, July 1, and we will toast: "To your big feet; to your fine
mind."
