JoAnn Mary Mooney passed away June 28, 2014 at the age of 83. She was
born in Toledo, Ohio to the late George and Florence Langenderfer April
3, 1931.
JoAnn graduated from Ursala Academy in Toledo, Ohio; was a Sigma Phi
Beta sorority member at St. Mary’s of the Woods College, in Terra Haute,
Ind.
In Lake Havasu City, she was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic
Church. She enjoyed and was active within the local community
organizations, Women of the Moose, Happy Niners Golf League, Thursday
Morning Playgirls Bowling League and Fraternal Order of Eagles Women’s
Auxiliary.
Of her greatest accomplishments, she was a true friend to many and a
“Wonderful Mom.” She held a special place in her heart for family and
her many friendships that meant so much to her. She will be missed and
thought of by those who knew her well.
JoAnn is survived by her daughter, Sharon Marie Mooney of Lake Havasu
City; brother, George (Sally) Langenderfer of Centerville, Ohio;
brother-in-law, Douglas P. (Lynn) Mooney, M.D. of San Diego, Calif.;
granddaughter, Victoria Ann (James) Berry and two great-granddaughters.
JoAnn was preceded in death by husband Frank George Mooney; two sons,
Geoffrey and Michael and grandson, Trey.
