Martha A. "Marty" Stout of Wickenburg died Sept. 18 at her home in Wickenburg. She was 76.
Mrs. Stout was born Oct. 3, 1919 in Breckenridge, Texas. She had lived in Arizona for the past 24 years. Marty lived in Arizona as a child where she met her husband David Stout. They later moved to Denver to work for the Rodeo Cowboys Association. From there, they moved to Wickenburg in January of 1975.
Her husband David preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 1990.
Marty was best known for her love of golf and spending time with her friends at Wickenburg Country Club, where she was a life time member. She was an avid gardener and had a beautiful yard at her home.
Survivors include her daughters Pat Johns of Prescott Valley, Debbie Stout of Phoenix and Christie Vendegna of Prescott; eight grandchildren, all of whom attended Wickenburg Schools; 13 great-grandchildren all of Arizona; sisters Fae Sanders of Tucson, Beth Bergstrom of Moses Lake, Wash., and Dorothy O'Hara of Wenden; brother Barron Davis of Prescott; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 21 at2p:m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Wickenburg; with Pastor Bill Root officiating. A private visitation was conducted for family members.
Internment or remains was conducted at the Wickenburg Cemetery.
