William F. Miller, 98, of Prescott, Ariz., passed away June 27, 2014.
Services will be 11 a.m. July 31, 2014, at Prescott National Cemetery.

William F. Miller, 98, of Prescott, Ariz., was born Sept. 2, 1915, in Framingham, Mass. He passed away June 27, 2014, at Margaret T. Morris Center.
He moved to Los Angeles, Calif., when he was 5. After graduating high school, he went to nursing school and became an RN. He joined the Army at the onset of WWII with his nursing unit then went to Officer's Candidate School and became a lieutenant. He served in Europe as a tugboat pilot. After the war, he graduated from USC medical school, became a DO, and worked as an OB/GYN doctor until his retirement.
He loved to travel with his wife Lorraine, who preceded him in death in 2005. He was an avid golfer and loved his family.
He is survived by his son, Stephen Miller of Alameda, Calif.; his daughter, Judy Martinez of Prescott, Ariz.; grandsons, Andrew Miller of Benecia, Calif., and Jeffrey Miller of Bakersfield, Calif.; granddaughters, Ronda Sargent of Bethel, Ark., Mandie Natoli of Wood-Ridge, N.J., Melanie Martinez of Tucson, Ariz.; and nine great-grandchildren. He wanted to be remembered as "A Good Man" and his family will attest to the fact that he was the best!
A memorial ceremony will be at 11 a.m. on July 31, 2014, at Prescott National Cemetery.
